UofL College of Business identifies graduate as victim of UPS plane crash

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Another one of the 14 people confirmed killed in Tuesday’s UPS plane crash in Louisville has been identified.

The University of Louisville College of Business posted on Facebook Friday afternoon, announcing the passing of Matt Sweets, a 2011 Marketing graduate of the College of Business. They said on Thursday, Matt succumbed to critical burn injuries sustained during the plane crash.

Sweets’ sister said he was “a devoted father, a loving partner, a caring son and the best big brother anyone could ask for.”

Sweets’ family has a GoFundMe with a goal of $10,000. At the time of publication, the fundraiser has reached over $130,000.
