LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Louisville Metro Emergency Services are allowing some business owners access to Grade Lane to check on their properties. However, they emphasized that if no one has reached out to you about access, you will not be allowed back into the crash site area.

They ask for patience as they slowly allow individuals affected into the area. A barricade is set up to check identity.

“We are working with LMPD on a plan. Safety is our upmost priority,” Monica Harkin, the spokesperson for Louisville Metro Emergency Services and Okolona Fire.

If you have permission to access the area, you will need to enter at the barricade at Grade Lane and travel to Don Hudson Blvd. That is the only point of access at this time.

If you have a business and would like access, email Businesscontact@okolonafire.org.
