The College of Charleston School of Business has been named to Bloomberg Businessweek’s list of the 2025-26 Best Business Schools for its full-time MBA program – the only South Carolina program to be included.

This recognition underscores the School of Business’ commitment to preparing professionals with critical knowledge, real-world experience and diverse skillset to excel in the global marketplace.

“We are honored that our one-year MBA program is among the nation’s best,” says Paul Schwager, business school dean. “Our relationship-based learning environment helps students translate bold ideas into real-world results that matter.”

The Bloomberg Businessweek ranking evaluates full-time MBA programs based on five indexes –compensation, learning, networking, entrepreneurship and inclusion – with a two-pronged approach. Each index is weighted by stakeholder input and comprehensive surveys from alumni, graduating students and recruiters.

As the only South Carolina institution on the list, the College’s accelerated MBA program distinguishes itself as the hub for innovation in the state, preparing graduates to be leaders across the Southeast. Through rigorous coursework, a lively alumni network and access to a flourishing business community, the program offers students the opportunity to grow as business leaders from the very start.

“Being named to Bloomberg Businessweek’s list affirms the distinct value of our one-year MBA,” says Charles Schnitzlein, program director. “We’re committed to helping students turn a single year of learning into a lifetime of possibilities.”
