SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – The popular Italian restaurant in Savannah’s Downtown, Bella Napoli, has opened their hearts and kitchen to helping those TSA workers at the Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport.
Owner Stephen Hamile says they have provided 120 hot meals throughout this week to those still coming to work.
“Savannah Chamber of Commerce put out a circular, and the moment we saw it, we jumped on it. It asked if there was anyone who was willing to help. It’s just not a duty. We have been so blessed with the support we’ve had from our Georgia customers and people here that we would take any opportunity to give back to our community we could,” said Stephen Hamile, owner of Bella Napoli.
Hamile says he is also planning to send over ready meals for those workers to take home.
This is a group effort from other businesses in Savannah as well, and they say they have gotten so much support from their community that they want to give back.
