The Council for the Development of French in Louisiana, or CODOFIL, has launched Exel Louisiane, an initiative designed to help Louisiana businesses and professionals expand their ability to operate in French and connect with the global Francophone economy.
The free program offers technical assistance, promotional visibility and professional development opportunities—ranging from bilingual signage and workshops to international economic missions. Participants will also be featured on CODOFIL’s Discover French Louisiana map, which promotes the state’s French-speaking professionals and destinations to visitors worldwide.
CODOFIL Executive Director Peggy Feehan says the effort expands the role of French “beyond education—into professional, economic and tourism sectors,” helping position the language as a tool for business growth and collaboration.
Exel Louisiane is open to businesses, nonprofits and civic leaders seeking to serve Francophone clients locally and abroad. More information is available on CODOFIL’s website.
