Chinatown, Chicago crime: Crash-and-grab burglary suspects hit business near West Cermak Road and South Wentworth Avenue, CPD says

CHICAGO (WLS) — Crash-and-grab burglars targeted a South Side business early Saturday morning, Chicago police said.

Officers responded to the scene near West Cermak Road and South Wentworth Avenue in the city’s Chinatown neighborhood just after 3 a.m.

Police said thieves used a vehicle to break into the business’ front entrance before taking items from inside. Video from the scene captured the damage.

When officers arrived at the business, three vehicles fled the scene.

No one is in custody, and Area One detectives are investigating.
