BOSTON — Home furnishings e-commerce retailer Wayfair is shuttering its Erlanger, Ky., warehouse, resulting in the layoff of 215 workers.
A WARN notice, filed with the Kentucky Rapid Response Dislocated Worker Unit on Oct. 15, said permanent layoffs at the warehouse at 1600 Donaldson Highway will begin in January 2026 and occur in a phased approach throughout the year, with the closing on or about Sept. 30, 2026. The workers are non-union and don’t have bumping rights.
The warehouse and fulfillment center opened in 2016 and spans about 900,000 square feet. Last October, Wayfair announced the closure of its Florence, Ky., warehouse, which employed 218 workers.
