Senda continues its global expansion plan to be able to market berries all year round

Senda, an international berry production and marketing platform based in Spain, is strengthening its strategic goal to market strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, and raspberries year-round, thanks to significant progress in its global expansion. This growth focus allows the company to avoid the seasonal limitations of berry production in different regions, ensuring availability across all markets throughout the year.

The key to reaching this goal is to expand the Berry Movement model, which is based on fair and equitable prices for producers and marketers, to other countries worldwide where berry production is rapidly growing and where there is significant potential for developing these crops.

Senda has already established itself in Egypt and Portugal and is planning to expand to Peru, Southern Africa, and Central Europe. To support this global growth, it continues to sign agreements with growers in various regions. For example, in Latin America, Senda has created a special program to showcase and assess its marketing model in partnership with local producers.

Before Fruit Attraction, Senda organized a specialized meeting with its current, new, and potential growers, focusing on strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, and raspberries. Held at Casa América in Madrid, the event showcased its “responsible and transparent” sales and marketing approach, which ensures farmers receive a fair price based on market fluctuations.

Senda also outlined its program for producing premium-quality fruit, along with its innovation and development ecosystem, which is designed to support growers and producers by integrating its proprietary varieties and genetic improvement initiatives.

Senda aims to market more than 70,000 tons of berries over the next four years. This production growth is expected to boost the company’s turnover. These projections are supported by the positive results achieved in the first year of operation.

After debuting in 2024, Senda has showcased its key innovations for the upcoming season, marking its first year of operation. It plans to expand its presence in the strawberry sector by adding a new grower of high-quality fruit with Origin Spain certification. Additionally, the company will implement a specialized marketing strategy for organic-certified berries.

Another important aspect of its activity is supporting growers by offering access to Senda’s exclusive varieties through the development of genetic programs for berry cultivation. Currently, Senda plans to introduce new premium blackberry and raspberry varieties to enhance this support for growers.
