This innovative 12-credit hour program equips professionals with the knowledge and skills to lead AI adoption, evaluate ROI and ethical implications, and apply cutting-edge tools like machine learning and generative AI to help solve today’s business challenges.
Designed for early- to mid-career professionals, career-changers and recent graduates, the program offers:

- Stackable credit toward Poole College’s master’s degree program
Artificial intelligence is reshaping business and society. Professor Bill Rand’s groundbreaking research on generative AI, bias and data-driven modeling demonstrates how Poole College is leading innovation at the intersection of business and technology.

Assistant Professor Onkar Malgonde, from the Department of Information Technology, Analytics and Operations, will serve as the faculty coordinator for the new Business AI Certificate, guiding its academic vision and development. Enrollment is open to NC State graduate students, Jenkins graduate students and non-degree seeking students.
With its emphasis on strategic AI leadership, generative AI integration and ethical decision-making, the Business AI Certificate positions graduates to drive innovation, enhance customer engagement and improve organizational performance in a rapidly evolving marketplace.
