Paloma Wool’s Ephemeral Paris Comeback: A Strategic Move in Global Growth

Paloma Wool’s Ephemeral Paris Comeback: A Strategic Move in Global Growth

Table of Contents

Paloma Wool steps on the accelerator in its global growth. The Barcelona-based brand founded by Paloma Lanna has chosen Paris, once again, as a new foothold in its international expansion. The contemporary brand will launch a pop up at 84 rue de Turenne, in the Marais district, strengthening its link with the French capital and its international expansion ambitions.

The space, which will be open from October 16th to December 24th, will present the brand’s fall-winter 2025 collection and reinforces its presence in the city, where it has already organized pop-up stores in the past, following its participation in the recent Fashion Week. The move comes just days after the opening of its first store in Barcelona, at 358-360 Avinguda Diagonal, its second permanent store after its debut in New York last April.

With this double launch, the brand confirms its physical growth strategy after a decade operating as a digital native firm, combining flagship stores, pop ups and a strong international community. The Parisian store extends the dynamics of the World Tour, the international tour that Paloma Wool has been developing since 2019 with ephemeral concepts in cities such as Madrid, London, Los Angeles, Copenhagen, Berlin and Seoul. At each stop, the openings function as observation exercises to get to know and test each market.

The company, which has become one of the benchmarks of the new generation of Spanish fashion, is moving towards a hybrid model that translates its visual language into physical space. In the French capital, the choice of Le Marais, a district that concentrates a new wave of designers and concept stores, responds to a strategy of affinity with its international community and the search for locations with cultural identity and local traffic.

The brand’s new space in Barcelona has been conceived as a creative and community laboratory. The 800 square meter store, designed by p0 studio, occupies the former site of Garage Splendit in the heart of Diagonal and combines a store, photographic studio, future art gallery and bookstore specializing in fashion.

Founded in 2014 as a digital project within the Intermalla family group, owner of Nice Things, Paloma Wool was spun off in 2020 to operate independently through the company Puro Paseo. Since then, the company has multiplied its size and international notoriety, with an audience that transcends Spanish borders and an aesthetic discourse that blends art, sustainability and community.

The company closed 2023 with a turnover of €12.82 million, 30.9% more than the previous year, and a net profit of €2.7 million. The results reflect the strength of its direct-to-consumer model and the brand’s internationalization potential, especially in markets such as the United States, France and South Korea.
