EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) – The family of an Eau Claire mother and business owner is seeking support after she was killed in a crash earlier this week.
According to a Facebook post from her business E.L. Pilates, Elizabeth “Liz” Lubke was killed in a crash while she and her family were traveling to Alabama for spring break.
Her husband and their three daughters survived. Their eldest daughter was flown to a pediatric level-1 trauma center.
A press release from the Kentucky State Police says three vehicles collided Saturday, March 28 in Christian County, Kentucky. Authorities say 39-year-old Lubke was airlifted to a hospital in Tennessee where she later died from her injuries on March 30.
A GoFundMe has been set up to support the family with medical expenses and other needs.
According to the GoFundMe, Lubke helped others recovering from injury and chronic pain through her business. She was also an active member of Longfellow Elementary’s PTO and an advocate for the school’s dual immersion Spanish language program.
