Popular national chicken restaurant Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers is taking steps toward a Sioux Falls location.
The fast-casual chain has issued a request for construction bids for the site of the former David’s Bridal at 4004 W. 41st St.
A Raising Cane’s representative couldn’t provide many details but did confirm the restaurant chain was “exploring the possibility of a restaurant” at the site.

The chain has been among the most requested by Sioux Falls diners.
Last year, a particularly dedicated Raising Cane’s fan even started an online petition voicing support for the brand coming to Sioux Falls. It drew more than 300 supporters.
David’s Bridal closed last year.
The property is owned and is being developed by Cresten Capital. Representatives said they couldn’t confirm a deal there.
Raising Cane’s has more than 900 locations and has rapidly expanded in the past five years. The company opens about 100 restaurants annually.
The request for construction bids is due April 14. While a construction timeline hasn’t been announced, given the timing of the bidding it’s possible the restaurant could open yet this year. A building permit has not been issued yet.
