MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) – Vermont’s House of Representatives passed a bill this week to create a type of sister state program.
The state has an office in Montreal to help spur economic development and bring Canadian businesses to Vermont.
The proposed program would set up a panel of experts to work with other countries to recruit business to Vermont.
It would also be similar to the Vermont National Guard’s partnerships with Austria, North Macedonia and Senegal, aimed at improving relationships in agriculture, technology and manufacturing.
