NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. — A new business will now breathe new life into the former Cavallo’s restaurant.
BurnToneSculpt Fitness Studio and Rosie’s Juice Barre (which will soon be just ‘Rosie’s’) is moving into the former restaurant from their Oneida Street location.
“We’re really excited to have more space. We’re moving about 2,000 square feet up in what we currently have so it gives us the opportunity to expand our class sizes and also have more offerings,” said Francesca Zumpano, the owner of BTS Fitness Studio.
There will be a gym upstairs and a cafe serving breakfast sandwiches, wraps, salads, and other healthy food options downstairs.
“We are trying to offer something different that isn’t here already… we’re going to expand our menu, offering many different options including nice lunches for the students that are coming from the New Hartford school,” said Gabriella Scharf, a partner in BTS Fitness Studio.
While renovations for certain parts of the space are underway, not everything will change; including the iconic coin bar or patio bar.
Zumpano said they love what the Cavallo’s restaurant has been to the community for the past 75 years.
“Again, we plan to keep a lot of the sense of what Cavallo’s has always stood for and hopefully keep a couple aspects of the original restaurant,” she said.
The space is now owned by the owners of One Genny. They will also put something in the former Cavallo’s Corked and back patio area.
