THIS MORNING, BUSINESSES ACROSS SACRAMENTO ARE CLEANING UP. I CAME, I CAME IN THIS MORNING AND I SAW THAT THE WINDOW WAS BROKEN. ABDUL AZIZ, OWNER OF A COFFEE AND CURTIS PARK, SHELLING OUT HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS TO FIX HIS GLASS WINDOW AFTER THIS SURVEILLANCE VIDEO SHOWS A GROUP OF THIEVES TAKING A SLEDGEHAMMER, SMASHING THE GLASS. AT LEAST THREE SUSPECTS CAUGHT ON CAMERA IN AND OUT IN LESS THAN 30S, TAKING NEARLY $1,200 IN CASH. IT’S IT’S IT’S IT’S PAINFUL. AND WHY WOULD JUST FOR A COUPLE OF DOLLARS. WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT? AND THAT WASN’T THE ONLY BUSINESS THAT WAS HIT HERE ON BROADWAY, 18TH STREET. YOU CAN SEE THE FRONT DOOR IS BOARDED UP HERE AT NEW STATION SEAFOOD RESTAURANT. AND JUST ACROSS THE STREET, ANOTHER RESTAURANT WAS HIT AS WELL. SACRAMENTO POLICE HAVE CONFIRMED THAT AT LEAST NINE BUSINESSES WERE BROKEN INTO OVERNIGHT. THE OVERNIGHT BREAK-INS SPANNED FROM NORTH OF LAND PARK TO SOUTH SACRAMENTO AND LEMON HILL. SACRAMENTO POLICE ARE STILL INVESTIGATING AND CAN’T CONFIRM IF THEY’RE ALL CONNECTED JUST YET. SACRAMENTO IS GETTING WORSE BY THE DAY. I THINK CUSTOMERS HEARING THE NEWS SAY IT’S EVEN MORE REASON TO ORDER TAKEOUT. HELPING THESE SMALL BUSINESSES BOUNCE BACK IN SACRAMENTO CECIL, HANNIBAL, KCRA THREE NEWS SACRAMENTO POLICE HAVE NOT RELEASED ANY SUSPECT INFORMATION NOW. Sacramento police are investigating a series of at least nine overnight burglaries affecting businesses from Curtis Park to Lemon Hill, with surveillance video capturing the thieves in action. Abdul Aziz, owner of Qisa Coffee in Curtis Park, discovered his shop’s window shattered and nearly $1,200 in cash stolen. KCRA 3 obtained surveillance footage that shows a group of thieves using a sledgehammer to smash the glass, with at least three suspects caught on camera, in and out in less than 30 seconds. “I came in this morning and saw the window was broken,” Aziz said. “It’s a lot for a small business. It’s painful…why would someone do this for a couple of dollars?
