GAFFNEY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Cherokee County Emergency Management reported that a roof was blown off a business Monday morning.

Officials said that a business in the 500 block of West Fredrick Street in Gaffney lost its roof during a severe storm.

Jermain Smith, the owner of Clip & Tails Pet Grooming LLC, said that the seven pets that were in the building are safe and that there was no damage to the inside of the building.

“I’ve been presented with, you know, more challenging situations than this,” Smith said. “So, it’s just one of those things that you just have to roll with it and, you know, again, like I said, Job lost everything he had.”

Smith added, “I’m a man of faith, so I do trust God with my life.”
