STEVENS POINT – As Central Wisconsin braces for a predicted foot or more of snow Saturday evening through Monday morning, some businesses, churches and organizations in the Stevens Point area are closing or adjusting their hours to keep employees and customers safe.
Here are local businesses and organizations that have announced closures or changed their hours for March 15 and 16 because of the snowstorm.
March 15 closures
- 212 Fitness will be closed Sunday, March 15 at 3217 John Joanis Drive in Stevens Point due to the predicted snowstorm.
- Becky’s Downtown Polonia Cafe will be closed Sunday, March 15 at 7419 Portage County Z in Custer due to the predicted snowstorm.
- City Point Church has canceled services for Sunday, March 15 at 3017 Church St. in Stevens Point due to the predicted snowstorm.
- Club Forest Bar & Grill will be closed Sunday, March 15 at 1176 Club Forest Drive in Plover due to the predicted snowstorm.
- Crystal Café of Iola will be closed Sunday, March 15 at 126 N. Main St. in Iola due to the predicted snowstorm.
- District 1 Brewing Company will be closed Sunday, March 15 at 200 Division St. Suite G in Stevens Point due to the predicted snowstorm.
- El Mezcal Restaurant will be closed Sunday, March 15 at 5741 Windy Drive Suite E in Stevens Point due to the predicted snowstorm.
- Emy J’s Coffeehouse will be closed Sunday, March 15 at 1009 First St. in Stevens Point due to the predicted snowstorm.
- Emy J’s Coffee Vault will be closed Sunday, March 15 at 31 Park Ridge Drive in Stevens Point due to the predicted snowstorm.
- Frame Memorial Presbyterian Church has canceled in-person worship for Sunday, March 15 at 1300 Main St. in Stevens Point due to the predicted snowstorm. They will instead be sharing a virtual worship opportunity on their Facebook page on Sunday.

- Starry Night Cat Café will be closed Sunday, March 15 at 1141 Clark St. in Stevens Point due to the predicted snowstorm.
- Stevens Point Area YMCA will be closed Sunday, March 15 at 1000 Division St. in Stevens Point due to the predicted snowstorm. 24/7 access will remain available, but the parking lot may not be plowed and sidewalks may be slippery.
- Sunset Point Winery will be closed Sunday, March 15 at 1201 Water St. in Stevens Point due to the predicted snowstorm.
- Tactical Escape 101 will be closed Sunday, March 15 at 23 Park Ridge Drive Suite 2K in Stevens Point due to the predicted snowstorm.
- Woodlands Church has canceled in-person services for Sunday, March 15 at 190 Hoover Ave. in Plover. People are encouraged to join online services airing at 8:45 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on their Facebook page, the Church Center app, YouTube and at woodslands.online.church.
