Amazon is giving sellers the ability to drill down into their sales data using AI to help them “visualize and grow their business in real time.” The marketplace announced Tuesday that, “For the first time, sellers can generate personalized, interactive canvases that bring together their business data, insights, and recommended actions in real time.”

The new “canvas experience” in Amazon Seller Central integrates AI-powered chat with dynamic, personalized visuals. “Sellers are now able to visualize data and key insights, explore scenarios, and take critical actions to grow their business.”

Amazon Vice President of Technology Mary Beth Westmoreland said in a post on LinkedIn, “This isn’t just another dashboard or reporting tool. It works with Seller Assistant and visually adapts as sellers ask questions, dig deeper into specific insights, or explore different scenarios. Some of the folks on our team say it’s kinda like chatting with your data.”

Amazon’s announcement to sellers follows:

Explore, visualize, and act on your data with a new AI-powered workspace
You now have access to a dynamic canvas experience in Seller Central, where you can visualize data and key insights, explore scenarios, and take critical actions to grow your business. This integrated, AI-native workspace combines chat and visual elements to provide highly personalized and actionable insights.

When you ask Seller Assistant questions or select from suggested prompts, Seller Assistant will assemble a personalized canvas with the data, insights, and actions tailored to your business needs. What makes this experience unique is its flexibility: you can dig deeper into any insight, ask follow-up questions, or request different perspectives on your data. The canvas will instantly adapt, creating new visualizations, surfacing new insights, and presenting recommended actions that are specific to what you’re asking, giving you full control over how you explore and manage your business.

You can analyze inventory levels, explore performance trends, and generate new visualizations when you request additional details or ask for a different perspective.

Over time, you’ll be able to work through increasingly complex scenarios. Questions such as: “What product should I launch next?” or “What promotions should I run?” will initiate a guided exploration where you can see product opportunities, compare competitive insights, review inventory recommendations, and take proposed actions.

We’ll launch progressively more powerful and intelligent capabilities over the coming months to help you manage your business, spot opportunities, and make decisions faster.

To get started, open the new Seller Central experience on desktop, and select Access canvases at the bottom of the left-side panel. If you haven’t yet switched to the new Seller Central experience, you can do so by selecting the toggle on the top right of the screen next to New Seller Central.

Two Amazon sellers responded with skepticism to the announcement. One seller said they did not want to be forced into using AI tools. A second seller said they believed AI “is still a long way from being reliable and for meaningful full time use” and said it wasn’t yet ready for primetime. Amazon’s own help page about Seller Assistant states it is powered by AI and warns “AI is experimental and can make mistakes.”

Amazon said the canvas experience is available as of March 3, 2026, to all sellers selling in the US and UK at no additional cost, “starting with capabilities that help them analyze performance trends and understand their business. Later this year, the canvas experience will begin rolling out to additional countries and will become accessible in languages beyond English.”
