CHICAGO (WLS) — Chicago police issued an alert on Sunday about a string of business burglaries and an armed robbery on the city’s Northwest Side.
In each incident, seven males arrived in a possible late-model blue Acura SUV and entered the business, targeting its ATM before fleeing the scene, police said.

Police said the group has targeted some businesses during their operating hours and others while they were closed. In one incident, the suspects were reportedly armed with handguns.
The crimes have happened in Chicago’s Belmont Gardens and Avondale neighborhoods at the following times and locations:
- 4400-block of West Diversey Ave. on Dec. 30 at 4:11 a.m.
- 2800-block of North Sacramento Ave. on Jan. 3 at 3:40 a.m.
- 4600-block of West Diversey Ave. on Jan. 3 at 3:36 a.m.
- 6000-block of West Fullerton Ave. on Jan. 25 at 4:42 am.
The suspects are described as males between 18 and 45 years old who wear black hooded sweatshirts, black sweatpants, and black ski masks.
