A recent health symposium revealed that embracing a holistic lifestyle—complete with nutritious meals and steering clear of alcohol—can drastically lower the likelihood of developing cancer. According to specialists, nearly half of all cancer diagnoses might be averted through simple lifestyle modifications like keeping fit, maintaining a healthy weight, and saying no to tobacco.

Patna: Health experts on Saturday said adopting a healthy lifestyle, including a balanced diet and avoidance of alcohol, can reduce the risk of cancer.Addressing a gathering, Dr A A Hai said around 15 lakh people are affected by cancer every year. “Prevention is possible on a large scale through lifestyle changes,” he said, adding that maintaining a healthy weight, staying physically active, improving diet and avoiding alcohol can help prevent up to 50% of cancer cases.
