Monday, Jan. 26

The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas’ Texas Manufacturing Outlook Survey will give a peek into the minds of factory managers and operators.

Tuesday, Jan. 27

The Dallas Regional Chamber’s annual meeting will feature North Texas real estate titan Ross Perot Jr. at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center.

Amid turbulence in real estate with changing interest rates and affordability challenges, Tuesday will see key housing data releases, including the S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller Index and the FHFA House Price Index. The U.S. Census Bureau’s monthly state employment and unemployment data are also slated for release, along with an annual report on union membership.

Local companies reporting earnings include Kimberly-Clark and Texas Instruments.

Also quarterly results will come from economically-sensitive transportation companies such as Boeing, Union Pacific and UPS.

Wednesday, Jan. 28

A big day on Wall Street will show how some of the country’s biggest tech companies are performing, including earnings from Microsoft, Tesla, Meta and IBM.

Dallas-based (for now) AT&T will also report its fourth-quarter earnings after the company announced plans to move its corporate headquarters to the D-FW suburbs.

Thursday, Jan. 29

Heavy equipment maker Caterpillar, which is based in Irving, gives its fourth-quarter earnings report. The company has been at the center of economic movements, including tariffs.

Apple, Visa and Mastercard also report earnings, along with defense firm Lockheed Martin, which builds the F-35 fighter jet in Fort Worth.

Thursday starts a two-day symposium from the SMU Science & Technology Law Review and Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas focused on digital payments including the present and future of stablecoins.

Friday, Jan. 30

Another big earnings day will include economic bellwethers such as Exxon Mobil and Verizon, which each have big North Texas footprints, as well as Chevron, American Express and Colgate-Palmolive.
