FULLERTON, Calif. (KABC) — Officers from multiple police agencies are searching for several robbery suspects after a pursuit involving two cars ended in a crash and several injuries in the city of Fullerton.
According to authorities, at about 2:38 p.m. Friday, Anaheim police were in pursuit of two vehicles related to a robbery. During the pursuit, which entered the city of Fullerton, two crashes occurred — the first happened at S. Lemon St and E. Orangethorpe Ave.
Minor to moderate injuries were reported as at least four suspects fled the area on foot, police said.
At about 2:43 p.m., a second crash occurred in the area of N. Euclid St and W. Malvern Ave. involving several vehicles. Police said the suspects in this collision also fled the area.
Officers from the Fullerton, Anaheim, and Placentia Police Departments are currently at both locations and actively searching for the suspects.
Authorities are asking motorists to avoid the area and expect traffic delays at both locations. Anyone with information or knowledge of the whereabouts of the suspects is urged to contact police.
Video from AIR7 showed a dark-colored vehicle that appeared to have smashed into a jewelry store in the Anaheim Hills area that was reportedly robbed before the suspects made their getaway.
No further details were immediately known.
