A heating, plumbing and air conditioning company in York County has shuttered its doors after more than 100 years in business.
F.F. Kling & Sons in Manchester left a recorded message on its phone line saying that it ceased operations this week and is no longer taking calls.
“Due to the high cost of doing business and the lack of sustainable income during this economically challenging time, we have been forced to close the business as of Jan. 20, 2026,” the recording states. “We would like to express our gratitude for your previous business.”
F.F. Kling & Sons had been in business since 1923, according to its website. At the time of its founding, a first-class postage stamp cost two cents, and the original Yankee Stadium opened in New York.
Attempts to reach the owner of the business were unsuccessful.
