Lennox expands ecommerce tools to speed HVAC sales

Lennox International Inc. is investing in distribution capacity and B2B ecommerce capabilities to shorten sales cycles and improve product access for commercial HVAC customers.

The Dallas-based manufacturer has opened its largest regional distribution center to date in Edgerton, Kansas. It also has upgraded its online quoting and ordering tools used by contractors and dealers. The moves reflect a broader push by manufacturers to pair logistics scale with digital sales tools as commercial buyers demand faster quotes, clearer inventory visibility and quicker fulfillment.

The 763,000-square-foot Edgerton facility expands Lennox’s commercial distribution network. Lennox designed it to support faster delivery of rooftop units, accessories and variable refrigerant flow equipment. Combined with production in Stuttgart, Arkansas, and a fully operational factory in Saltillo, Mexico, Lennox said the investments allow the company to deliver more than 90% of commercial rooftop units and accessories within one day across North America.

How Lennox is expanding its ecommerce tools

At the same time, Lennox has relaunched its Commercial Quick Quote tool on its LennoxPros platform. It enables contractors and dealers to generate instant quotes and place orders for emergency replacement rooftop units in minutes. The updated tool provides real-time local inventory visibility, side-by-side product comparisons and guided configuration for curb adapters and accessories.

Lennox said it developed the enhancements with direct input from contractors and dealers. It intends to reduce errors and delay on time-sensitive jobs. The company described the interface as modeled on leading ecommerce platforms, an approach increasingly common in B2B markets where buyers expect consumer-like speed and ease of use.

“Commercial Quick Quote might be the best tool Lennox has released for RTU replacements,” said Jon Edelen, president of Lozier Heating & Cooling. “It works really well and is easy to navigate.”

Lennox is also expanding online access to commercial parts and accessories through its recent acquisitions of Duro Dyne and Supco. That broadens the range of components available to support installation and service work.

“These investments position our commercial business for long-term growth,” said Joe Nassab, executive vice president and president of Lennox Building Climate Solutions. “Strengthening our distribution and digital capabilities makes it easier for customers to access what they need and helps our teams support them more effectively.”

Lennox’s strategy underscores how HVAC manufacturers are increasingly integrating distribution infrastructure with ecommerce tools to compete on speed and reliability, particularly in commercial markets where downtime and delayed replacements can carry significant costs.
