When Wilmington landmark Rush Uniform announced in mid-December they were closing after more than 60 years in business, many in the community were surprised and saddened, but in to the void has stepped Cramer’s Uniform and COO Matthew Laken.
“Over the last three weeks I’ve had the remarkable honor and privilege to travel around The First State with the queen, Winnie Rush herself,” said Laken in a Facebook post. “Winnie’s shoes are the largest to fill, but we vow to make our own footprint, a great big, epic, strong one, right there in-synch, in rhythm alongside the path Winnie and the Rush family have set out before us.”
Cramers is a family owned company based in Philadelphia which is celebrating its 100th year in business in 2026.
