Since 2003, Arlington’s Small Business Coordinating Council (SBCC) has convened business leaders from across the D.C. region to exchange insights, tackle shared challenges and stay ahead of the trends shaping today’s entrepreneurial landscape. More than a meeting, SBCC serves as a collaborative forum where ideas turn into action — and where business owners, service providers and community partners come together to strengthen Arlington’s small business ecosystem.

We need you! Membership in Arlington’s Small Business Coordinating Council (SBCC) matters because it places you at the center of the local small business ecosystem. Members gain early insight into policy updates, economic trends and emerging issues that directly impact entrepreneurs, while helping shape coordinated solutions alongside public agencies, nonprofit partners and fellow business leaders. SBCC is not just a forum for discussion — it is a platform for collaboration, shared problem-solving and collective impact that strengthens the entire business community.

The SBCC brings together small business owners alongside public- and private-sector partners, including many of the region’s leading small business service providers. The council meets monthly at 10 a.m. on the second Wednesday, with options to attend in person at Arlington Economic Development’s office or virtually via Microsoft Teams.

At the December meeting, Jennifer Mulchandani, founder and CEO of Arlington Strategy, shared practical insights on How to Get the Best Out of Your Social Media. In January, the council will welcome Al Page of the IRS alongside Christine Searle, founder of Searle Business Solutions, who will highlight key updates for the 2026 tax season and offer guidance to help businesses prepare. Stay tuned as we address future opportunities and challenges for local businesses.

Meetings are open to the public. We encourage you to subscribe to our mailing list and to participate in future meetings here. To learn more about BizLaunch visit www.bizlaunch.org
