OnTrac and ShipStation expand partnership to deliver faster, seven-day e-commerce shipping nationwide

Chantilly, Va.-based e-commerce parcel carrier OnTrac and Austin, Texas-based ShipStation, a provider of Web-based e-commerce shipping services, this week heralded an expanded partnership.

Key takeaways of this expanded collaboration cited by the companies include integrating OnTrac’s full delivery network that covers more than 75% of U.S.-based shoppers and also 48 of the top 50 metro areas, coupled with ShipStation’s advanced shipping features and capabilities, including automated rate shopping, inventory management, returns and exchanges, and analytics. And they added that this will provide online retailers, 3PLs, and marketplace sellers what they called “seamless access to faster, more affordable shipping options seven days a week.”

What’s more, the companies observed that this expanded partnership expands OnTrac’s ability to a broader set of shippers across the U.S. and provides ShipStation to be able to offer more choices for comprehensive carrier services.

Rafael de la Vega, Senior Vice President of Business Development at Auctane, ShipStation’s parent company, told LM that the companies have a long-standing relationship, stating that this partnership incorporates ShipStation’s technology and API with OnTrac’s delivery network, allowing ShipStation customers to find as many shipping options as they’re looking for to meet their business needs.

“ShipStation enables customers to have a more streamlined shipping experience, so they’ll see additional choices and available services when they select OnTrac in our platform,” he said. “Our goal is to provide merchants the best service, availability, and delivery options they’re looking for to help them manage their shipping operations in one place. The partnership allows us to continue building an ecosystem that offers customers an integrated and smooth experience.” 

Going forward de la Vega said that the next steps for the partnership are to help OnTrac customers integrate seamlessly with ShipStation and explore additional opportunities for growth.
