Ecommerce giant Amazon is launching its discount storefront, Amazon Haul, in Spain. The standalone store competes with large Asian platforms like AliExpress and Temu. The launch follows other launches earlier this year in the United Kingdom and Germany.
Amazon Haul operates as a standalone store within the Amazon platform. This means that it has its own search engine, shopping cart and payment method. It is accessible on the app and website.
Products under 20 euros
Users can find products in categories from fashion and home to lifestyle, priced under 20 euros. Most of them are even cheaper, under 10 euros. And some cost as little as 1 euro. According to Amazon, all products have the usual Amazon ratings. They go through the same checks as the products on the standard Amazon platform. Previously, it has already mentioned that product safety is a key aspect of Amazon Haul.
Earlier this year, Amazon also launched Haul in the United Kingdom and in Germany. Now, it is also expanding into Spain. Chinese platforms with cheap products like Shein and Temu have been growing quickly in the Spanish ecommerce market. Because of that, it is not surprising that Amazon has now chosen this market.
‘Great products at very low prices is important to customers’
“At Amazon, we innovate every day to respond to what customers want and need; and we know that finding great products at very low prices is important to our customers in Spain. We are delighted to be able to offer even more savings options through Amazon Haul, without sacrificing the trust, security, and customer service that Amazon offers”, said Ruth Díaz, general manager at Amazon Spain.
