Despite days of rain in the Santa Cruz Mountains, businesses in Felton, including Emerald Mallard and Humble Sea Tavern, continue to welcome customers who are undeterred by the weather.”The foot traffic is pretty much the same. Residents have noticed the recent storms, James Bravo saying, “Definitely had a lot of rain at my house last night. So check the weather apps to see what it was looking like. I was hoping to go out for a bike ride this morning, but with all the rain, there is no way.”However, the rain hasn’t stopped them from supporting their favorite spots. “I’m going to come out no matter what. And I like to support the local restaurants for sure. And great food here and good little spot,” said Bravo. Workers at Emerald Mallard express their dedication to the community, Cornblatt saying, “We’re stoked to be here. We’re stoked to serve the community.”Humble Sea Tavern also appreciates the local support, Rachel Sanfilippo noting, “It seems like the locals come out, you know, no matter what time of the season it is.”Both businesses attribute their popularity to the warm, welcoming atmosphere they provide, especially on rainy days. “It’s a really cozy vibe in here.
