Paterson Mayor Andre Sayegh has named Daniel Golabek as the new business administrator or New Jersey’s third-largest city.
“Daniel Golabek is a proven leader with the legislative insight and administrative expertise necessary to help steer Paterson toward a bright future,” Sayegh said. “His track record of public service, his professional background in management, and legal education make him a strong fit for this critical role. I am proud to welcome him to our team and look forward to the energy and experience he will bring to City Hall.”
Golabek is a former mayor and councilman in Elmwood Park and has served as Garfield’s Parks and Recreation director and most recently as Assistant Business Administrator and Chief Human Resource Officer for the Garfield Board of Education. He did not seek re-election last year and ended a nine-year stint on the council last month.
He’s also a former school board member, and aide to then-State Sen. Nellie Pou. Golabek earned his law degree from Seton Hall University.
“I am eager to get to work alongside the City Council and dedicated city staff to ensure continued growth and progress for this historic community,” stated Golabek. “Together, we will focus on delivering efficient services and fostering a thriving environment for all Patersonians.”
