Some small business owners in San Francisco are demanding PG&E do more to help them recover from power outages that swept the city during their busiest shopping weekend just before Christmas.
Merchants in San Francisco’s Sunset district are feeling overwhelmed and anxious after losing thousands of dollars during the outages. PG&E sent text alerts offering households $200 in credit on their next bill and $2,500 credits for businesses.
Chinese merchants in the Sunset on Monday called on PG&E to pay a lot more, asking for $500 per household and $5,000 for businesses.
