The Tailored Hide, 447 S. Commercial St. in Neenah, recently announced its upcoming closure after nearly 40 years of business.
The shop, owned by Leeann and Scott Wasinger, is known for its leather goods and services for repairs and custom orders. A post was made to The Tailored Hide’s Facebook page on Sept. 30 breaking the news.
“It’s been our honor and pleasure to serve the Fox Valley and beyond for almost four decades,” the post reads. “We are humbled and grateful for the support we have received throughout the years.”
While the reason for the upcoming closure wasn’t stated, many comments under the post wish the owners a happy retirement. “Final goodbyes in early January,” the post reads.
A closing sale event will begin Oct. 14, which includes 35% off leather jackets, chaps, vests, helmets and biker accessories, and 20% off all other merchandise.
As of now, the business will continue to take repair and custom orders, with services expected to stop at a date yet to be determined.
