State Farm agent Crystal Fuller first met Desirée Chamorro in 2010 at the San Antonio Rodeo.
“Desirée was there when she was just selling dog clothes, so I actually bought an outfit for my little dog at the time,” said Crystal.
But Desirée had bigger dreams in mind as she was planning to start a new business venture, K9 Cafe Boutique & Spa, which offers treats, accessories, and grooming services for pets in San Antonio. She was looking at small business insurance options to help manage her risk.
“Being a new business, I had a lot of concerns, and when I talked to Crystal, she was the most informative and made me feel the most comfortable,” said Desirée. “She’s a small business owner herself, so I felt like we had a lot in common.”
“I love Desirée’s story. For one thing, she’s a female business owner and I am as well, and that’s something that I’m very proud of,” said Crystal. “I think sometimes being a female business owner can come with its own challenges and benefits.”
Throughout the years, the two women have supported each other on numerous occasions.
“Crystal helped me tremendously when I had gone through major catastrophes like a tornado and my trailer getting stolen literally the day that I bought it,” said Desirée. “I support Crystal by inviting her to come out to my business and show my customers the amazing products and services her agency offers. I even referred my mom to her.”
“I often spotlight women business owners on my social media channels, so I share different events and things that Desirée has going on,” said Crystal.
Fifteen years after they first met, Crystal continues to insure Desirée’s business through State Farm.
