Hightekers buys Serviap to boost Latin America reach

Hightekers has acquired Latin America-based Employer of Record and contractor management specialist Serviap Global, expanding its direct operational footprint to 40 countries and deepening its presence in a fast-growing market for cross-border employment.

The deal follows Hightekers’ acquisition of Asia-focused Eos Global Expansion earlier this year and continues a buy-and-build strategy across key hiring regions. Hightekers now operates directly across Europe, the Americas, Asia and the Middle East and works with a certified partner network in more than 100 additional countries.

The combined group now supports more than 3,500 workers worldwide across Employer of Record, payroll, freelancer and contractor management services. Employer of Record providers employ staff on behalf of client companies and take responsibility for local compliance and payroll.

The addition of Mexico City-headquartered Serviap Global gives Hightekers a stronger foothold in Latin America. Serviap was founded in 2010 and focuses on Employer of Record and contractor management services in the region.

Hightekers was founded in 2016 in London and Paris. The company has expanded through a mix of organic growth and regional acquisitions as global hiring volumes have increased.

Global expansion

Hightekers said the acquisition of Serviap represents a significant step in its expansion plans, as more organisations hire talent across borders and seek external support to comply with local labour and tax rules.

“This acquisition reflects our ambition to build the most agile global platform for the Future of Work,” said Roger Oudiz, Chairman of Hightekers. “By welcoming Serviap Global, we secure a strong LATAM presence and continue our strategy of offering clients a seamless, fully compliant, and premium service experience wherever they hire talent. Together, we now combine deep local expertise with global reach – a capability that very few players in the market can deliver.”

The group said the combined business will deliver local expertise across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, the US and Latin America. It plans to operate under a unified brand by 2026.

Integration roadmap

Hightekers has set out an integration roadmap for Serviap and its other recent acquisitions. The plan includes a single global technology platform for client onboarding, workforce management and compliance.

The group also intends to consolidate its global service portfolio. It will cover Employer of Record, contractor management, umbrella and freelance solutions, payroll and global compliance under one structure.

Hightekers plans to introduce additional self-service tools for clients and workers. It expects these tools to support faster deployment of workers and increase operational accuracy across different countries.

The chief executives of the acquired businesses have joined the Hightekers board. The company said they contribute up to 20 years of local market experience in their respective regions.

Latin American focus

Serviap Global has built its business around supporting international companies that want to hire staff in Latin America. It manages Employer of Record services and contractor arrangements in multiple markets across the region.

Serviap’s management said the combination with Hightekers would extend its reach and client base while maintaining a focus on service quality and local relationships.

“We’re thrilled to join forces with Hightekers, whose rapid growth and regional expertise drive greater value for our clients and partners,” said Victor Anaya, Co-Founder and CEO of Serviap Global. “In our industry, a strong technology platform is essential, but every client and contract has unique needs. Like Hightekers, we pride ourselves on understanding those needs through close, personal relationships, and we’re excited to bring this same level of tailored service to our customers worldwide.”

Both companies position themselves around a human-centred approach to international employment services. They intend to combine broader technology integration with local market knowledge and personalised account management.

Hightekers expects the integration of Serviap and Eos Global Expansion to continue through to 2026, when it aims to complete the move to a single global brand and platform.
