Brooklyn Park police say they received reports that on Friday morning, everyone from a business on the 8500 block of Zane Avenue North had been arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Investigating officers verified that Homeland Security Investigations agents arrested one staff member at around 10 a.m.

The police department notes that they were not involved in the arrest.

Sen. John Hoffman posted on his Facebook that he went to the business, Crumbs and Coffee, on Saturday morning and found a “dark café with the door standing open. Money sat on the counter. Coats were still draped over booths.”

Sen. Hoffman said he then called Brooklyn Park police to secure the building and spoke with the mayor of Brooklyn Park, who confirmed ICE had conducted a raid.

5 EYEWITNESS NEWS has reached out to the Department of Homeland Security for more information regarding the arrest.
