KateLynn Albers, CPA, CMA, is a dynamic and impactful leader in North Dakota’s accounting and education communities. At just 32, she has already made significant contributions across public accounting, higher education and civic engagement.
Albers graduated from Minot State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 2015. After more than five years in public accounting at Brady Martz, specializing in audit, tax, and advisory services, she transitioned to academia as an assistant professor of accounting at Minot State University. Her dedication to students and the broader campus community was recognized in May 2025 when she was named Faculty Liaison of the Year by student-athletes — a testament to her mentorship and connection beyond the classroom. She even threw a perfect first pitch at a Minot Hot Tots game in celebration of the honor.
Albers’ professional excellence is matched by her commitment to service. She was named Mentor of the Year in 2022 by Companions for Children and received the Making a Difference Award from the ND CPA Society in 2024. She serves as co-chair of Magic City CPAs, sits on the Young Professionals Committee of the ND CPA Society, and is an active member of AICPA, IMA, and ACFE.
Her leadership in the community includes board roles with the Minot Area Schools Federal Credit Union and the Minot Housing Authority, where she helps shape financial and housing policy for the region.

Since joining as the initiative’s first hire in 2019, he has helped shape strategy and launch programs that connect growers, startups, researchers, and global manufacturers to accelerate technology adoption in agriculture. Grand Farm now operates a 590-acre Innovation Campus in Casselton, North Dakota, with an emerging team in Georgia, engages 2,500 organizations worldwide, and collaborates with 80+ partners.
A systems builder, Aderholdt has positioned Grand Farm as a nationally recognized hub where growers, Fortune-100 manufacturers, startups, and federal agencies co-develop solutions, shortening the path from concept to adoption. He has co-led collaborations that earned $275 million in partner grant awards, strengthening the Upper Midwest’s role as a center of ag innovation. He combines strategic vision with operational rigor, managing field projects, developing an Innovation-as-a-Service model, and creating an Innovation Campus for testing, demonstration, and education. His work also extends to peer-reviewed research in AI, robotics, and precision agriculture, translating findings into practical tools for growers.
Previously, Aderholdt led Grand Farm’s Program Management Office and served as director before becoming executive director in 2024. He also advises Homegrown Capital and has taught as an adjunct at North Dakota State University. Earlier, he held research roles at Montana State University and a statewide fellowship with the Montana Office of the Commissioner of Higher Education. A former Montana Army National Guard infantryman, he brings disciplined execution to complex projects.
Aderholdt earned a Ph.D. and M.Ed. in Adult and Higher Education and a B.S. in Cell Biology & Neuroscience from Montana State University. Trained in software development and data science, he applies AI and analytics to real-world agricultural challenges. He lives in Fargo, North Dakota, with his wife, Lana, and their two children.

Tyler Anderson is Arvig’s Northwest regional manager, overseeing a territory spanning Clay, Norman, and Becker counties in Minnesota, including communities such as Mahnomen, Twin Valley, Ada and Glyndon. Promoted in January 2025, Anderson is marking his 10th year with Arvig.
In his current role, he manages all field operations in the northwest network, including service requests, technician scheduling, installations, and network construction projects. Splitting his time between Arvig’s Twin Valley and Ada offices, he leads a team of seven technicians and two contract installers, ensuring services are installed on schedule, function properly, and meet customer expectations.
Anderson is recognized for his hands-on leadership and deep knowledge of his territory. He prioritizes understanding service needs in every community and directing proactive infrastructure investments to maintain long-term network stability. His combination of operational expertise and strategic insight makes him a valued leader within Arvig and the communities he serves.
An enrolled member of the White Earth Nation, Anderson is also active locally. He serves as treasurer for the Mahnomen Fire Department, volunteers with a program supporting unhoused residents, participates in local sports, and attends career fairs to promote telecommunications careers. Known for being the face of Arvig in his area, he is committed to both advancing the company’s network and fostering a strong, connected community.

Andrew Bergeron is the director of Contracting at Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota (BCBSND), joining the organization in 2021 with over a decade of experience in health-care operations, network management, and payer contracting. Known for his strategic mindset and collaborative leadership, he plays a key role in advancing BCBSND’s mission to simplify health care, improve affordability, and enhance well-being for members across the state.
In his current role, Bergeron oversees provider network contracting and administration, managing relationships with hospitals, physicians, and other care providers. He leads a team that negotiates comprehensive contracts, balancing provider sustainability with member affordability, strengthens networks for both in-person and virtual care, develops innovative models to improve outcomes and reduce costs, and identifies opportunities to enhance network efficiency and access to care.
Before BCBSND, Bergeron spent eight years at Essentia Health in Duluth, Minnesota, in roles spanning supply chain and payer contracting. There, he honed expertise in negotiating complex agreements and building cross-functional relationships, skills he now leverages to bridge perspectives between providers and insurers.
Bergeron is also active in his community, volunteering with Great Plains Food Bank, Ronald McDonald House, and local food pantries, and fundraising annually for the Alzheimer’s Association in honor of his grandfather.
He holds a BBA in Health Care Management from the University of Minnesota Duluth and an MA in Management from The College of St. Scholastica. A Fargo-Moorhead area resident, Andrew and his wife, Heidi, have two children, Chase, 5, and Morgan, 3.

Shelby Boettner has built a distinguished career in nursing and higher education, blending clinical expertise with a passion for teaching and leadership. She currently serves as an assistant professor of Nursing at Northern State University, where she mentors and instructs the next generation of healthcare professionals. Since joining, she has played a key role in launching the university’s new nursing program, developing curriculum, creating simulation-based learning, and ensuring the program meets both student and community needs.
Boettner began her career in direct patient care as a certified nursing assistant and advanced through roles in long-term care, intensive care, and emergency medicine. Since 2019, she has worked at Avera St. Luke’s Hospital as a registered nurse in the Emergency Department and ICU, later serving as ICU supervisor and Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Champion.
Her academic leadership extends beyond Northern State University, including roles as program director for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Practical Nursing programs at Presentation College, and as a clinical adjunct instructor at St. Ambrose University.
Boettner is also deeply involved in professional and community initiatives. As president of the South Dakota Nurses Association District 4, she leads programs supporting nurse development and community service. She serves on boards and committees, including the Northeast Health Education Center and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, advocating for mental health awareness and improved healthcare access.

As a licensed landscape architect, Bowles has 15 years of experience shaping our communities across the region.
Her role encompasses the business development, analysis, design, planning, and management of projects in North Dakota. She specializes in public and private open spaces and is dedicated to creating places that connect people and nature and foster a sense of community among neighbors.
Bowles stays active in her profession and community as a member of organizations including the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber of Commerce, the Building Industry Association, and the North Dakota State University Landscape Architecture Department, where she’s a part-time instructor. Colleagues recognize her passion for leadership in planting design and for bringing Confluence’s wealth of past project experience to the region.

Matthew Buenger is a graduate of South Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and has been with Banner Associates, Inc., for more than eight years. His experience with Banner began with his providing engineering support on conventional and highway structure project types. Buenger also provided support to bridge inspection teams and served as construction observation support on-site.
He was quick to learn and had a desire to grow, which led him to opportunities of leadership in a short time. Buenger has continued to develop his skills both personally and professionally, which has transitioned him from being a support staff member to a leader. He now serves as a lead designer on highway structure projects, is a bridge inspection team leader in charge of bridge inspections for multiple Banner clients, and is the responsible record engineer for structure replacement plan sets. Buenger continues to elevate his skills through hard work, willingness to learn and a passion for the profession.
He has quickly elevated his role on projects and within the company through his hard work, willingness to learn, and a passion for the profession. Buenger’s ability to be personable has created a level of comfort with clients where they are able to communicate their needs and trust he can help find them solutions.
Buenger is active in ASCE student and professional chapters, providing mentorship and support to students interested in the engineering profession and offering his time and talents for guiding activities such as the steel bridge. Additionally, he has taken his talents beyond his cubicle walls, acting as an adjunct professor for Timber Design classes at South Dakota State University.

Sarah Crossingham is an assistant professor of education at Dickinson State University (DSU), where she teaches courses such as Introduction to Education, Teaching for Diversity, Educational Psychology, and Diversity and Exceptionalities. A native of Missoula, Montana, she transferred to DSU in 2008 and earned her bachelor’s degree in Composite Social Science and Secondary Education, graduating cum laude in 2011. While a student, she was active in leadership roles, joined honor societies, and was named Outstanding Senior in Teacher Education.
After graduation, Crossingham began her teaching career in North Dakota, working for Dickinson Public Schools and Wishek Public School. While in Wishek, she was named the 2017 North Dakota History Teacher of the Year by the Gilder-Lehrman Institute. She continued her education at North Dakota State University, completing a master’s degree in Educational Leadership in 2020.
In 2022, Crossingham joined the faculty at DSU, quickly emerging as a leader in teacher education. She was named DSU’s 2025 Innovative Faculty Member of the Year and leads the Blue Hawk Theatre Guild, combining academic excellence with student engagement. She has also secured external funding to create opportunities for learners, including a $10,000 North Dakota Cyber-Savvy Futures Grant that supported DSU’s STEM World Peace Game Camp.
Her innovative spirit extends to community and campus partnerships, such as launching DSU’s Education in Action Day, which brings in area high school students to campus to experience higher education firsthand. Crossingham has twice been voted “Best College Professor” in The Dickinson Press Best of the Western Edge contest (2023 and 2024).
Crossingham designed and launched the innovative STEM World Peace Game Camp, which challenges elementary students to solve interconnected global issues while developing 21st-century skills in communication, collaboration, and critical thinking. She also created DSU’s Education in Action Day, introducing high school students to college life and inspiring the next generation of teachers.

Esche also freelances in digital marketing, social media, and web design, including creating a mobile app for a Sioux Falls nonprofit.
A trailblazer from early on, she graduated with an associate’s degree before finishing high school, earned her Bachelor of Science in Marketing two years later, and completed her MBA shortly after. In 2020, she became the youngest individual in Minnesota to run for public office. Her dedication has earned her recognition as SMSU’s Graduate of the Last Decade (2024) and as one of KELOLAND’s Remarkable Women.
Esche serves on numerous boards, including the Salvation Army of Sioux Falls Advisory Board, Health Connect of South Dakota, SMSU Alumni Board, DisruptHR Sioux Falls, and SiouxperCon, a nonprofit fan convention that generates $1.25 million annually for the local economy. A graduate of the University of North Dakota with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, he was actively involved in student organizations, including IEEE and Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society.
Fredrickson began his career at Ulteig Engineers in Fargo as a substation engineer, designing substations and windfarm grounding systems. He joined CMTA in 2013 to help grow the Grand Forks office and has since designed electrical systems for hospitals, wellness centers, schools, and commercial buildings. He focuses on delivering innovative, sustainable solutions that reduce carbon footprints by combining proven design principles with the latest green technologies.
Passionate about mentoring the next generation, Fredrickson regularly shares his expertise with engineering students, emphasizing that much of real-world engineering is learned on the job. His outreach has helped recruit several local engineers from UND and NDSU.
Fredrickson is also active in the Grand Forks–East Grand Forks Chamber of Commerce, supporting both business development and broader community initiatives.
He and his wife are raising two daughters, ages 6 and 4, and are expecting a third child in March 2026. In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities with his family, from neighborhood parks to days on the lake. Sean Sorteberg is an accomplished leader in the supply chain and semiconductor industries, currently serving as director of Multi-Market Semiconductor at DigiKey, the leading global distributor of electronic components and automation products. In his role, he directs global product segment strategy, leads a comprehensive semiconductor portfolio designed to outperform market growth expectations, and oversees all product management and asset management functions. With more than 13 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, Sorteberg has demonstrated expertise across distribution, manufacturing and procurement. Before his current director role, he served as the manager of the technology business at DigiKey, overseeing all procurement activity in the semiconductor business unit. Brady Wheeler began his career at his father’s business, Wheeler Contracting, as an electrical apprentice after earning a finance degree in 2010. Over the years, he advanced to project foreman, superintendent, and project manager, earning both journeyman and master electrician licenses along the way. In 2014, he founded Wheeler Construction by purchasing the assets of his father’s company.
As president, Wheeler has grown the business from a single location with 10-15 employees to multiple locations with more than 50 employees, managing projects across central and western North Dakota. He has expanded operations by adding a prefabrication facility and a BIM/VDC department, while continuing hands-on involvement in project and operations management. Known for his work ethic, Wheeler often assists in the field, ensuring projects meet deadlines, and leads by example as the first in and last out of the office each day.
Wheeler is deeply committed to his employees’ growth and success, both professionally and personally. He serves on the Local 714 electrical union’s apprenticeship program board, mentoring the next generation of electricians. As a survey crew coordinator, project manager, and consultant to both private and public clients, he leverages advanced technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy, and is frequently sought for guidance on equipment and software. His experience spans construction, land development, topographic and boundary surveys, cadastral work, aviation, oil well pads, pipelines, bridges, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, plats, easement exhibits, and static networking.
Zeltinger is also deeply committed to advancing the surveying profession in North Dakota. With a limited pool of licensed surveyors and little awareness of the field in high schools, he has focused on mentoring emerging professionals and promoting licensure through his leadership in the North Dakota Society of Professional Land Surveyors, where he currently serves as board president.
Beyond surveying, Zeltinger contributes to his community through volunteer work with Welcome House, a faith-based organization supporting homeless families in Bismarck/Mandan.
A native of Surrey, North Dakota, Zeltinger earned an associate’s degree in Land Surveying and Civil Technology from North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard from 2006 to 2014. He lives in Bismarck with his wife, Hope, and together they are devoted to training and caring for their Siberian Huskies.
