A restaurant in Mason, Ohio is closing its doors after more than a decade of business, citing rent hikes.Lucky Dog Grille announced to their social media pages that their last day of business will be Christmas Eve.The owners said it comes after months of negotiations over a significant rent increase, one they said was far beyond what they could maintain.”For the past six months, we’ve been trying to work out a fair rent agreement with our landlord, but we haven’t been able to reach a resolution. With rent and overall costs rising across the board, we’ve made the tough decision to close the restaurant,” the owners said in the post to their social media pages.The owners went on to thank customers for their support over the years.”This restaurant has meant so much to us, and it’s because of all of you—your kindness, your loyalty, your celebrations, and your everyday moments — that we feel honored to have shared with you,” the post reads.For now, they’re asking customers to come in for one last meal before they close their doors in a few weeks.
