SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Despite lake-effect snow, Syracuse’s Small Business Saturday saw a strong turnout at the Sky Armory, where local business owners showcased their products.
Isabella Sabatina, co-owner of Luce the Collective, expressed excitement about participating in their first in-person event.
“It’s so exciting. This is actually our first in-person event, and I think we picked the perfect one to start at. It’s really nice being able to get feedback from customers in person,” she said.
While the weather impacted Black Friday shopping, Scarlet Jaworski of Begonias Clothing noted, “Luckily, it’s not snowing today, so people are out a little bit more.”
Shoppers remained undeterred by the snow, with one stating, “We all love to shop, so even if there was a huge snowstorm, we would have made the trip out.”
Despite the challenges, the community’s support for local businesses remained strong.
