JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Downtown Jacksonville is currently experiencing a wave of development, but amid all of it, the city still wants to make sure it shines a spotlight on small businesses.
On Saturday, Nov. 29, the city wants its residents to participate in Small Business Saturday, which takes place annually on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, by exploring businesses in the area and acquiring their services or enjoying a meal at a local dining establishment.
Residents can also give the gift of the downtown Jacksonville experience by purchasing a #DTJax e-Gift Card for a friend or family member.
“Follow your favorite local spots on social media and share their posts with your friends and family,” the city also recommends.
Downtown Vision, a nonprofit funded primarily by downtown’s property owners, also recommends that those who wish to participate in Small Business Saturday download their 2025 Passport, which will provide a list of locations for people to visit that can allow them to fully immerse themselves in the area.
Locations on the passport include Bellwether, Sweet Pete’s, Kanine Social, and the Jacksonville Light Boat Parade, which takes place in downtown Jacksonville later in the evening.
“We encourage you to support the small businesses that help make our Downtown so great. Join us on November 29th, 2025, for this year’s Small Business Saturday,” Downtown Vision said.
