Small Business Saturday kicks off in downtown Spokane Saturday, November 29

According to the Downtown Spokane Partnership, 27 new retail businesses have opened in the Business Improvement District this year.

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Downtown Spokane Partnership is inviting people to celebrate “Small Business Saturday” this Saturday, November 29.

As part of Small Business Saturday, the first 200 shoppers who go to Auntie’s Bookstore (402 W Main Ave.) will get a “swag bag” with goodies, coupons, gift cards and other items from several downtown businesses.

An extra 25 bags will be given away at Indaba Coffee (518 W. Riverside Ave.) Twenty-Seventh Heaven Bakery (105 S. Madison St.), People’s Waffle (15 S Howard St.) and Shawn O’Donnell’s Irish Pub (719 N Monroe St.)

After the swag bag giveaway, Auntie’s Bookstore will also host local author book signings, pop-up shops, giveaways and more.

According to the Downtown Spokane Partnership, 27 new retail businesses have opened in the Business Improvement District this year.
