When is Small Business Saturday in Oregon?

Small Business Saturday falls on the first Saturday after Thanksgiving every year.

In 2025, that means Small Business Saturday is Nov. 29.

What is Small Business Saturday?

Similar to Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Small Business Saturday is another part of the annual holiday shopping tradition, but it focuses on local businesses.

Small Business Saturday was started in 2010 by American Express and was supported by a U.S. Senate resolution in 2011.

What stores are participating in Small Business Saturday in Salem?

Seven local businesses in downtown Salem have teamed up to offer special deals on Small Business Saturday.

Book Bin, Creativitee, Bigwig Donuts, Art Department, Willamette Valley Music Co, Bike Peddler and All City Sweets are participating in a shop local card that gives shoppers special deals.

At Book Bin, anyone with the card who spends $50 gets a $5 gift certificate and every $25 spent will earn a raffle ticket for a copy of “Katabasis” by R.F. Kuang or “Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil” by V.E. Schwab.

At Creativitee, shoppers who spend $50 will get a $10 gift card.

At Bigwig, shoppers will receive $5 off three dozen donuts.

The Art Department is offering $5 gift cards for every $50 purchase.

Willamette Valley Music Co is offering 15% off not exceeding a $200 discount.

Bike Peddler is offering 10% off labor, parts and accessories.

All City Sweets is offering $5 off one dozen cupcakes.
