BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (WTVG) – Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Retro is normally a place to forget your troubles. News of a triple murder-suicide in Tiffin has weighed heavily on owner Jason Rau.
“It was unbelievable. Honestly, one of our guys came up to me, and when he told me, I just felt sick to my stomach. Couldn’t believe it. I still can’t believe it. It should have never happened, honestly,” said Rau.
Rau explained he worked closely with Dustin Willey, 29, at Miller Pipeline in Perrysburg.
“Just one of the best people you could ever work with. Always had a positive attitude. Just somebody you wanted to be around. So, for anybody who didn’t know Dustin, they were missing out because he was a fantastic guy,” added Rau.
The lives of Willey, 7-month-old August, and 7-year-old Wrenn were cut short in an act of domestic violence. Rau is now running a fundraiser through his store, collecting donations for the families.
“I wanted to just do whatever I could to possibly help out. So, I’ve known Dustin for 5 1/2 years, working every day with him. I’ve actually known the other family for most of my life cause I went to school with their mom, brothers, uncles, you know. So, I just felt like I need to do something,” said Rau.
Now through Sunday, Nov. 30, 10% of all sales and 50% of all arcade game plays will be donated, along with any cash donations made inside Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Retro, 127 S. Main St, Bowling Green, OH.
