North Hills is down one dining option after the recent closure of one of its fast-casual restaurants.
Six years after its opening, Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls appears to have permanently shut the door of its Raleigh location.
Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls was located at 4121 Main at North Hills St #100 in Raleigh.
The News & Observer has reached out to both the chain and North Hills’ communication teams for more information about the Raleigh location’s closure.
The seafood joint — next to Bartaco near Fitness Connection and the Renaissance Raleigh North Hills Hotel in the shopping center’s Main District — has been dishing out Maine lobster and shrimp rolls since 2019.

Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls, a Maryland-based restaurant company that sources its lobsters from Maine, will open in Raleigh’s North Hills development this year.
The chain, which opened in 2014, has dozens of restaurants across the country. The North Hills location marked the very first in North Carolina.

Now, the empty corner spot has been stripped of its signage and is no longer listed on the chain’s website.
