Is the work-from-home era over? Tech company Zoom, a darling of the pandemic years, will report third-quarter earnings as business leaders push to get employees back into the office.

A big day for earnings ahead of the holiday season should provide some useful insight on the busy shopping period leading up to Christmas. Best Buy, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Burlington and Kohl’s all report earnings, along with retail-oriented tech companies HP, Best Buy and Alibaba.
Wednesday, Nov. 26
An early present for economic geeks, the U.S. Federal Reserve releases its monthly “Beige Book” report, one of the preeminent snapshots of the country’s economy. Notes on Dallas amid the October report: “Outlooks deteriorated with slowing demand, policy uncertainty, and inflation highlighted as the top concerns for businesses.”
Tractor maker Deere & Co. also reports third-quarter earnings in an important benchmark for U.S. manufacturers.

Happy Thanksgiving. Those feeling festive can visit the Panhandle city of Turkey, Texas. It’s roughly 260 miles northwest of Dallas with a population of 371.
Friday, Nov. 28
Black Friday heats up the holiday season with one of the biggest shopping days of the year. One of the marquee events will be the noon lighting of the tree at Galleria Dallas, touted as the largest indoor Christmas tree in the country. If you miss it, don’t worry. They will repeat the celebration on Saturday and Dec. 6.
