Aeris, a long-established provider of SaaS-based IoT connectivity solutions, announced that TA Associates has made a strategic minority investment in the company. The funding marks a significant moment for Aeris as it aims to expand its global footprint and advance its portfolio of enterprise-grade IoT technologies. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The investment will support Aeris as it pursues broader adoption of its connected-device platforms across industries such as automotive, utilities, energy, fleet management, medical devices, and manufacturing. For more than thirty years, the company has played a central role in powering large-scale IoT deployments, and today its platforms manage, optimize, and secure nearly 100 million connected devices worldwide, including more than 41 million connected vehicles.
Aeris’ product suite, which includes the Aeris IoT Accelerator Platform, Aeris IoT Watchtower, and Aeris Mobility Suite, provides enterprises and mobile network operator partners with advanced capabilities in connectivity management, optimization, and AI-driven IoT security. With growing demand for unified, secure, interoperable connectivity across global operations, the company plans to use TA’s backing to expand its agentic AI capabilities, scale partner integrations, and accelerate product innovation.
TA Associates, which has followed Aeris’ progress for more than a decade, will join the company’s Board of Directors and collaborate with Aeris leadership on strategic priorities, operational enhancement,s and long-term market expansion. The firm’s investment is expected to strengthen Aeris’ market position as one of the world’s largest orchestrators of IoT eSIMs and a leading provider of borderless global connectivity.
Aeris currently supports an ecosystem of 7,000 enterprise customers and nearly 30 mobile network operator partners. With this new partnership, the company aims to broaden its impact across the connected-device landscape while enhancing security, operational efficiency and scalability for global enterprises.
