$40 Million Series B Raised For Cloud-Native Payments Processing Platform

$40 Million Series B Raised For Cloud-Native Payments Processing Platform

Table of Contents

Silverflow, an Amsterdam-based cloud-native payment processing company, announced that it has raised $40 million (€37 million) in a Series B funding round, marking a milestone as the company approaches one billion transactions processed annually.

The investment was led by Picus Capital with participation from Rabo Investments – Corporate Venturing and existing investors Inkef, GPT, Crane, and Coatue. The company said the funding will help strengthen its position in modern payment infrastructure, accelerate global expansion, and expand its product suite.

Silverflow provides a cloud-native payment processing platform designed to replace legacy card processing infrastructure used by acquiring banks, payment companies, and commerce platforms. Through its API-driven architecture, the company enables customers to manage card payments with real-time insights and greater flexibility.

Over the past two and a half years, Silverflow’s platform has grown rapidly, scaling from processing around 180 transactions per day to nearly 1.75 million daily. Its customers include acquiring banks, payment companies, and high-growth commerce platforms operating across Europe, North America, and Asia-Pacific, including Deutsche Bank, Bolt, Payabl., and Buckaroo.

To support continued growth, the company plans to increase its global workforce by more than 50%, expanding from 85 employees to approximately 120. Hiring will focus primarily on software engineering and product development roles.

The funding will also support geographic expansion, particularly in North America through its New York office, as well as deeper market development in Southeast Asia. In addition, Silverflow plans to expand support for additional card networks such as China UnionPay and JCB, complementing its existing integrations with Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners, Discover, and several regional debit networks.

The company also intends to invest in new front-end tools and user interfaces to make its data-rich APIs easier to use while expanding its end-to-end platform to provide stronger support for in-store payments.

KEY QUOTES

This investment is a clear validation that the market is ready to move past the ‘legacy drag’ of outdated systems. We’re the only cloud-native company targeting this specific area, and this capital will ensure we cement our position as the new standard in payment processing globally. It’s not just about raising money – it’s about having the resources to build the infrastructure that helps our customers, including acquiring banks, payment companies and commerce platforms, to move faster and grow bigger. We’re empowering our customers to simplify complexity, accelerate time-to-market and achieve exponential revenue growth. This investment confirms that our focus on un-fragmenting the global payments ecosystem is the right strategy for every company aiming for financial stability and global scale.

Anne Willem De Vries, CEO And Co-Founder Of Silverflow

The payments infrastructure market is defined by monolithic, slow systems that stifle innovation. Silverflow has proven that a cloud-native, single-API approach is not just an alternative, but the inevitable evolution. Its incredible growth rate, customer momentum and more importantly customer feedback, now approaching one billion transactions processed annually, demonstrate the urgent market need for a modern processor. After working with the team over the past years, we at Picus are proud to lead this Series B round and support Silverflow’s ambitious goal to become the most trusted processor in the world.

Florian Reichert, Partner At Picus Capital

As an EU-based investor, we’re proud to support Silverflow as an European champion to continue its global expansion. We strongly believe that Silverflow can enable banks and other financial institutions to offer a competitive payment solution from a tech perspective.
